Vivendi is paying Herb Alpert & Jerry Moss $211 million dollars. To date, that's $500 million dollars for A&M Records, $350 million for sale of Rondor Music and this $211 million just announced. That's just over $1 billion dollars to the creators of A&M Records and, as I recall, a sound that most record company execs told them don't bother to spend the money to press and distribute "The Lonely Bull".
