VP Dick Cheney is a Carpenters fan

Thursday's USA Today print edition (1/21-p6a) included this tidbit about the Vice President, Dick Cheney, according to his daughter, Liz Cheney Perry:

She and her sister, Mary, gave their father an iPod for his birthday and bought him new CD's at Christmas, so they could "get it up to speed." What kind of music did he have in it? "The Carpenters. Ugh," she says.

Perhaps Liz doesn't realize what great taste her father has!!!!!

All Over The World....there are Carpenters fans in many surprising roles & places .....really Cheney children need to be more open to musical tastes & genres ....rather than trying to be hip with more modern music / artists ....

Hey, maybe that's what Cheney meant about his non-service in the Viet Nam war, saying that he had “other priorities” at the time. Maybe those priorities were listening to the Carpenters.
