Dear Forum Members,

At the track SUDDENLY IT TO BE YOU (Tinha de ser com voce)
from the Verve Records Bossa Nova Soundtrack 1999 album, former Sergio Mendes Brasil ´88-2002 singer CAROL JEANNE ROGERS started to sing after 1:57 minutes at one of the most interesting/high-level arranged interludes ever appeared on a Bossa Nova album.

The interlude is divided in four parts:
first a string/flutes section than a solo piano part and third a acoustic guitar/drums/percussion part and at fourth a acoustic guitar/percussion/strings/flutes/piano part.

Than Carol start singing in English and the Brazilian Singer/Songwriter Djavan joins in Portuguese and both Carol and Djavan sing the chorus in Portuguese.
The song is a well crafted interwoven combination of Jobims Tinha de ser com voce and the new Deodato penned SUDDENLY IT TO BE YOU.

The Soundtrack score is by Deodato and the album is filled up by new songs by Deodato and tracks as The girl from Ipanema by Gilberto/Getz, waters of March by Jobim/Elis regian, and a song by Jobim/Sting amongst other Bossa Nova classics.

Deodato plays only acoustic piano on his tracks with a killer rhytm section and full orchestra.
Very well crafted album for all people who loves the real Bossa Nova sound.Still avaliable.

All the best
