Does anyone have the complete list of Carpenters singles that were released under the "A&M Memories Series"? Were they 45rpm's or CD singles? Up until recently, I thought it was only "Honolulu City Lights" (I remember finding this 45rpm quite by accident a long while before "Lovelines" had been released and was so excited to hear something I'd never heard Karen sing before!) but have been told there are 9 other Carpenters singles re-released around or about 1985-1987 under this series...just wondering!

The only one I have is Sing/Yesterday Once More (8566-S) as a 45. Can't confirm the year.

The "Memories" series was actually a renaming (around the early 1980's) of the "Forget-Me-Nots" series which had been in place since the late 1960's. There were quite a few; besides the coupling mentioned above, there's "(They Long To Be) Close To You" / "Ticket To Ride" (the latter tune represented here in stereo, whereas the original 45 thereof, #1142, was mono), plus quite a few others I can't place my finger on at the moment. As for 8566-S: Definitely after 1973.

While not a list of all the titles that WERE available,Collectables,www.oldies.com, has five of them that ARE available,including "Honolulu City Lights/I Just Fall In Love Again". BTW,the current top seller for Collectables is "The Christmas Song/Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer"-not bad for a 47-year old holiday novelty song. Mac

8552-S and 8556-S - 1972 (geez, does that mean that "Top Of The World" was put out on the reissue series before being released as a "regular" single?)
