it's been on my mind for a while now. Has any other artist ever sampled Sergio's Alibis? I remember Alibis from when it was a hit back in '84, but that opening guitar riff sounds familiar as though i've heard it in some other song. Am i wrong or just crazy? lol

My 21-year-old niece, Tasha, tells me that Sergio has been sampled a time or two. Somewhere in the back of my memory, I seem to have heard that "Like A Lover" or "So Many Stars" have been sampled. I don't know by whom.

Anyone know? This is a good question... I'm curious.

I just remembered where i recognize Alibis from (I think)? The opening of the song is somewhat reminiscent of the melody from The Long Run by the Eagles
