Does anyone know anything about this:

Audio Technica AT-LP2DUSB LP-to-Digital Recording System with USB

I see that Amazon has it for about $84. However next weekend BJs warehouse is going to have it available for about $20 less (with a special coupon). The write-up on Amazon sounds very good and my husband was thinking of going this route.

Any help would be very much appreciated since I'm an electronics dunce!

Oops, I now see a topic already underway for this LP conversion to CD. No particular system is mentioned, however.

Not recommended. Too flimsy for these tastes. The AT-PL 120 and a USB preamp box would do you better. With this setup, you can get better results and would get you back into vinyl as a regular enthusiast.
