Felix Pappalardi (1939-1983) was the bassist for Mountain and producer for Cream. He was shot and killed by his wife and songwriting partner, Gail Collins.

--Which is to me, not nearly as fun to listen to as the succeeding Pappalardi album, Don't Worry, Ma, otherwise get him with Mountain, instead... This easily comes off as an "essay" of what Pappalardi's native group really can do...

Although Felix and his Japanese cohorts ("Sugar", "Flash", "Lightning" and "Thunder") do pull off this quasi-hard rock excursion quite well...

The songs range from fairly psychedelic power ballads reminiscent of early Mountain to a more robust brand of Heavy Metal exercises in a showcase of almost-tremendous talent, if not the same force, rather than art, Pappalardi's group Mountain really gave their material...
