Wow -- I LOVED this when it came out and would love to have it on CD -- Really West Coast feel to it--- "Lookin Out for #7" is a GREAT opener --and makes you realize what a MONSTER drummer John Guerin was, and how much he is missed. "Boss Walk" would have made a great single---- I also loved the voicings and melody of "Liberation", the over the top reading of "Dahomey Dance" and the lyrical beauty of "Malibu" ---I can picture a sunny afternoon drive on Rte.101 with that track--- All in all, a fine production --- and great debut for the then very young Scott-----

I also loved this album. Lots of good stuff here, kicking it off with "Looking Out For Number Seven". I really like his take on Coltrane's "Dahomey Dance", putting a bluesy rock feel to it. A very gifted musician making a nice debut on A&M.
