Listening to him play, it isn't hard to see how he got the gig playing with Herb. Same lyrical style, but with a bit more "punch".

I listened to the samples and they are Excellent I'm familiar with Clark Gault as he was one of the earliest composers and arrangers with then San Diego based Network Music library along with other such names as Craig Palmer John archer Larry Owens ( aka Larry Muhoberac) just to name a few out of many Great stuff from the San Diego music scene

Agreed. Interesting how Tonni Kalash's recordings on YouTube of "The Boss" and "Shuckin'" show a very different style than Herb. And he ultimately got the gig.
