I don't know about "big," since the hipsters are also reviving cassettes, likely for their own ego more than anything else. There is a small but active community of new cassette releases coming via independent labels. They are primarily into "old"...they'd be the ones seeking out old (and often not very good) film cameras just because the mainstream doesn't have them.

Back to this vinyl--my money is on it being digitally sourced. That would explain the patchwork assemblage of tunes.

Sad thing is, we don't know if the original album masters were destroyed in the fire at Universal.
