I enjoyed this one more than his first and this was but a preview of his next LP which was the breakout, hits-laden Cuts Like A Knife. I was fortuante to see him open for the Kinks at the Hampton Spectrum that summer when I was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia... Not being a Kinks fan and only marginally familiar with Adams (via his disco-ish 12" A&M debut) I went along only because my roommate didn't want to go alone. I'm glad I did. I picked up both his LPs and the Kinks' Give The People What They Want (the LP they were supporting on that tour) the next day. I'm a fan of both acts, though Adams' later efforts fell flat IMHO...

Got the Canadian import CD. Former Rolling Stone rock critic John Swenson gave it 4 stars out of 5. A close second to "Reckless" (1984) though. Matt Clark Sanford, MI
