I was wondering if anyone on the forum knows if any of Richard and Mary Carpenters' children have set a goal of the performing arts. I believe their oldest daughter is age 16.
I remember several years ago Traci Carpenter sang Top of the World on the PBS documentary, and I've seen the photo on the CSULB website of Colin Carpenter singing. I remember hearing Richard comment on Traci's interest in Carpenters music, and how he would never force it on his kids.
It will be interesting to see if any of them choose that path; though it would be a lot of pressure, considering the near perfection of the Carpenters legacy.
