I wonder if the 'When You Get Right Down To It' is the Barry Mann song... And what about that 'When A Man Loves A Woman' and 'Since I Fell For You'? :help:

I had a W/L Promo copy of 'We Should Be Together' (Mono/Stereo) and have had seen the LP, but must not have been interested in it... (The latter I didn't buy...)

Conn is a bit of an Al Jarrau, though w/ a lot less jazz than jive... More like A&M's answer to Bobby Caldwell...!

Well, thanks to a very cool archived radio show called "Crap From The Past" (how could you not love it with that title), I discovered that indeed this is the original recording of "We're In This Love...", redone by Jarreau about a year later. This version is not good but you can hear a good song in there somewhere - it's amazing how it takes just the right combination of artist, producer, arranger and song......
 
This was one of A&M's rare forays into country music, a wee bit on the "pop"py side...
