Never heard of this one (or singer Dave Alvin), but what a lovely tribute song to Karen this is!

I found the studio version here, but then I discovered a live version and noticed the drummer (and all the other band members for that matter )




I wonder if Dave wrote the song in this key on purpose, because it segues perfectly into this song by "Our Duo" & Co :

Yeah he’s about 5 yrs younger i believe.
