Hi from England

As a long-time visitor, and now registered member of the group, I thought you might like to know about a tremendous new double CD which has escaped on the Universal Jazz label in Germany. It's called "The Get Easy! Sunshine Pop Collection" and has 40 tracks of the kind most of us here will love. The CD came out this summer, and I found a copy on www.amazon.de (the German Amazon site - very fast and efficient service). Haven't seen one on any UK or US CD online store.

The track listing says it all:

Eternity's Children Rumors
Critters Mr Dieingly Sad
Eighth Day Brandy Doesn't Live Here Any More
Don Costa Punky's Dilemma
Kenny Rankin Peaceful

That Eternity's Children single came out on A&M (# 866) with "Wait and See" as flip side.

The Alan Copeland track is from 1968 A & M album "If Love Comes With It" (A&M SP 4173), according to the sleeve notes. Produced by Adam Ross.

The Mama's & Papa's "People Like Us" is such a great song. Recorded on their last album, it was an anthem to its time. I've always liked it, in and of itself. The last album is another story...

As for the Mama's & Papa's themselves, I think they would have made incredible A&M recording artists.
