Last night I was fortunate to have gotten free tickets to see Rock Group Heart in Concert at our "Former Pine Knob", hereby known as DTE Music Theatre while also being fortunate to have 'someone nice' to share my lawn-area seating with as well!

A fairly unknown singer Anne Peacock also playing guitar and mostly piano while accompanying herself, was the opening act, while the show seemed to have gotten off to a late start; we got there at 7:20, the show could've started at 7:30, but I think she took the stage at 8:30, while Heart finally came on at 9:00...!!

However before Ms. Peacock even came on, the crowd just spontaneously cheered, not because the band took the stage, which was still empty, but as a streaker actually ran naked at the top of the hill we sat high up on (only free space available) and made it almost right behind us before being caught by the Security...

--Don't anyone get excited, it was a MAN! :scared:

Fortunately a good variety of their songs were performed, though not having anything to write down a song set with or on, I could, in the best order I can, remember:

EVEN IT UP

MAGIC MAN (During which someone nearby us with a Digital Video Cam was being ejected for taping the concert; she showed the "footage" she had taped to two Security who then escorted her out; otherwise she may have "captured" the whole show)

(KEEP YOUR) LOVE ALIVE

Some Tom Petty song, I don't know the name of, (and forgot 'key lyrics' to...)

JUPITER'S CHILD (title-track of one of their latest albums)

BEBE LE STRANGE (Influenced by "something in the mail"--or was it "MALE??"...)

LOVE REIGN ON ME (a Who song)

KICK IT OUT

CRAZY ON YOU

(HOW DO I GET YOU...?) ALONE

BARRACUDA

STRAIGHT ON

BLACK DOG (Led Zeppelin song)

MISTY MOUNTAIN HOP (another Led Zeppelin song)

IF LOOKS COULD KILL

DREAMBOAT ANNIE

--Forgot exactly the order of the songs, though I think this list comes close... I know Dreamboat Annie was the very last song and done in the 'encore', which also consisted of a couple or few other songs... Sadly a storm started to break out and seemed to have put a damper on the end of the show and I think we seemed to have been short-changed on a few songs, as there was no What About Love --which after deciding I would go to the bathroom (--Yeah from all those Jack Daniels Drinks I drank!...) :bigevil: during, I changed my mind and would have definitely loved to heard and seen 'em do! I don't remember Shell Shock or All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You, either... Felt quite cheated out of what would'a been a few more songs, for sure...!

The rain got quite heavy--thunder & lightnin' and all--when we, fellow-audience and the band disbanded, so naturally everyone's concern over keeping dry and their own personal safety had us rushing through the crowd back to my car... Darn!!! --Since I wanted to try to find a way to get to the back of the stage to get my two records that I brought signed and of course meet the band, especially the Band Leaders, Ann & Nancy Wilson!! They were both accompanied by a guitarist, bassist, drummer and a female keyboardist (a Debbie-Something, or Other; not Sue Ennis), all of which it was hard to hear or make out the names of over the 'sudden applause' as each member was introduced...

LOVE RULES! was painted on the bass drum kit, and Anne Wilson, both at the end of the first set before the encore, and at the end of the show shouted, "Well Be Back!" --So I do hope for a better setting and more cooporative weather conditions next time...!
