I was just lucky enough to catch a 30 minute documentary about Herb's painting and sculpting: "Herb Alpert- Music For The Eyes", and I was completely taken by his creativity. He is apparently doing this full time, using torches, molten metals, etc. I was very impressed.
I have seen a sample of his works, but this show was really something unique. Nice sounds too!
Herb is doing stuff now that makes recording albums look easy. He has not slowed down, quite the opposite, he is working harder than ever.
If you get the Sundance Channel, look for this. I regret not taping it.
