Is a clarinet the instrument used on the song "Marjorine"? It is one of my favorite tjb tunes along with "It Was a Very Good Year" and "Cantina Blue"

We discussed that a little while back...thought it was Plas Johnson, although it was never really settled for sure...

There's a good chance it was Bernie Fleischer.

Wasn't he a woodwind player for the Baja Marimba Band? The soloist, perhaps, in their version of "Acapulco 1922"?

The Pinkest of all Panthers. It would be nice to nail that down someday.

Yep, the one and the same...primarily noted for his flute work, spent a lot of time with Julius working on marimba/flute ensemble melody/harmony lines that kinda made the BMB sound what it was...

Carol Kaye, who played guitar and bass on a lot of early TJB recordings narrowed it down to either Plas or maybe Paul Desmond [ I think...]...most likely, it was Plas...kinda sounds a lot like the Pink Panther solo when you analyze the two...
