I am sure most of the people here know that Rodriguez's classic "Cold Fact" LP was distributed in some countries by A&M/Sussex. Especially after the terrific Academy Award winning documentary, "Searching For Sugar Man".
On his second LP, "Coming From Reality" Rodriguez has a sweet little track called, "It Started Out So Nice". I just cannot get enough of it these days! Maybe it's just me but give it a listen, Rodriguez sounds SO MUCH like Herb to me, especially during the melody. I can't help but think of (wishing) Herb doing a version of this lovely little song.
I would LOVE to hear Herb's vocal take and especially his horn on a Herb Alpert version of this jem.
