I read about Julie Cruise earlier today myself. I was, and still am a big fan. She was popular because of the Blue Velvet movie, and a muse for composer Angelo Badalamente, and director David Lynch, Twin Peaks. I was fortunate to see her in concert at a very small theater in Little Tokyo, which is close to downtown Los Angeles. Maybe 300 people? Anyway the stage was set up like a day at the beach I believe, with the back half of a Volkswagen Beetle as the main prop. She entered the stage through it. Fun show, early 90’s.
