I was re-reading the New York Times article on Karen Carpenter's second life and it said something about the album's release being cancelled the night before the release date. Does this mean that the album was shipped to record stores and then retail outlets were told not to sell it, or was the shipping curtailed? I don't mean to belabor the point, I guess I would like to know if albums were pressed, covers printed, etc. or didn't the process get to this point. If anyone knows, please enlighten me. Thanks.
