So I was driving the other day and listening to my Carpenters 40/40 really loudly.

Has anyone ever noticed that if you listen to other groups loudly in the car, it can almost be too much....too much drum, or guitar or the vocals are distorted...but when you listen to the Carpenters really loudly, they don't seem too loud? It is just like a wall of sound is surrounding you....

I Love It!!

I like pretty much everything loud. Back when I used to drink a lot o'beer, I blew out a set of 6x9 speakers on Elton John's "Street Kids," which is a little known hard-rock song of his that simply demands to be blasted as loud as possible.

I also notice that, when I play my Carpenters cd's louder (esp. SHM-CD) I always here something "new" or overlooked in Richards arrangements. AMAZING!
