Hello!

I'd just like to know if any Tijuana Brass music has fallen into the public domain. I want to use it as background music in a nonprofit project and I don't need any legal headaches.

Thanks!

As far as we know, all TJB music is the copyrighted property of Herb Alpert himself, trading these days as Almo Properties, LLC.

Most copyrights are good for about a hundred years. (maybe a little less) Some of the songs the TJB played were P.D. but the arrangements are not. Depending on how big your project is you can get a license through the Harry Fox Agency. That's how I licensed the cover tunes on my CDzz. You might be supprised, it might not be that much$$$. All this is off the top of my head but I think the web site is www.harryfoxagency.com
Good luck amigo...Jay
