"Reason to Believe" instruments

Please forgive me for this rather stupid question, but what is the instrument that comes in about halfway (1:30ish) through "Reason to Believe"? The liner notes and websites always list:

Keyboards: Richard Carpenter
Bass: Joe Osborn
Drums: Hal Blaine

Okaaaaay..so what did I think sounds like a fiddle or synthesizer or whatever?! I have even watched video performances, and it always cuts to a shot of the piano. To me, that is not what it sounds like. Maybe very slightly, but I just go . Can somebody please tell me what it is or if I'm just going insane?

I'm pretty sure it's just a string section with reverb, with Richard's Wurlitzer electric piano playing on top of them.
