This announcement is late and I apologize for that. It was 5 years ago, February 1, 1999, that we lost a genius musician and songwriter...the one, the only, Julius Wechter. As I mourn his passing, I celebrate the extraordinary musical treasures we are blessed to cherish thanks to recordings. Please join me in remembering this dear man who God blessed with unsurpassed talent. We miss you Julius!

Dear Cissy,
This is a bit late in coming and I extend my heartfelt apology. As I
remember Julius, my prayers for peace and comfort are with you. It
doesn't seem that it's been 5 years since his passing. I was listening
to Herb's greatest hits album this morning and remembering fondly
Julius's percussion work on several cuts. And, the infamous marimba
performance and solo on Tijuana Taxi. It was Julius's work on the
Whipped Cream album that caught my attention and my love for his genius both on percussion and marimba. There has been no one like him before or since. Thank you for inspiring and supporting Julius to
make his music. What great memories he has left us.
