Ron Davies - RIP

Songwriter and A&M recording artist Ron Davies, 57, died Thursday, 10-30-2003, at his Nashville home of a heart attack. Many country and rock artists have recorded his songs, including David Bowie, Vince Gill, Joe Cocker and Three Dog Night ("It Ain't Easy").
Davies' A&M albums were SILENT SONG THROUGH THE LAND (SP 4264) and U.F.O. (SP 4400). His younger sister is Country Singer Gail Davies.

Sorry to hear of Mr. Davies' passing. (Yeah, I know, TWO MONTHS have passed!) I only had U.F.O.--wasn't it the first LP in the 4400-series? Sorry I never picked up SILENT SONG THROUGH THE LAND. Only saw a U.K. Pressing, and I thought that was the only way it ever got released (only the British LP-Series # got listed in Terry Hounsome's ROCK RECORD, which is a volume-chronicle of Musician and Personnel Info and Documented LP #'s in the U.S., U.K. & other places abroad), and it was too beat-up (cover AND vinyl) to be considered.
