Ah! Good album! This was definitely an artistic breakthrough for Simple Minds. All their albums prior to this one showed a bit of promise, but they'd really yet to master the art of writing a catchy song - their earlier works are fun and intriguing to listen to, but very little on those albums actually sticks in your head afterwards - and on this album they grew by leaps and bounds as songwriters. Quite a few good tunes on here - "Someone Somewhere in Summertime" and "Promised You a Miracle" are my faves. Once Upon a Time remains their best overall album, but this is arguably their second-best record. (And that original vinyl pressing on marbled vinyl is insanely cool, too!)
