Was the Singles 1969-1973 released on SACD? I have seen places where people own it but how? It was supposedly released in 1995 but I thought that SACD was released in 1999. Can someone help?

This is a topic that has come up before.
There is no SACD of any Carpenters recording. There never has been.
Someone saw an incorrect listing at Amazon.com about a year or two ago that showed THE SINGLES: 1969-1973 as having been released on SACD in 1995, but it was never an item that was in stock (since it never existed). You are right that SACD didn't even exist as a format in 1995.
I long for the day when *any* Carpenters recording is made available on SACD, but it hasn't happened yet!
