Or I just realized that the Carpenters did cover “What Child Is This?”—-in the CP overture. But it would’ve been nice to have had Karen and Richard maybe doing a medley of “When A Child Is Born” And “What Child Is This?” On “When A Child Is Born” imagine a Richard lead, with Karen reading the spoken part and then Karen takes over on “What Child Is This?”

For some reason I thought she had, but I think I'm getting the Carpenters' Christmas songs (whether on an album or in a TV special) mixed up with songs Perry Como sang on his special (and Karen didn't sing with him on that).

Had part of this album on last night (I was playing the Time-Life “Christmas With The Carpenters”)
On New Year’s Eve, and it was really appropriate that “What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?” was on the disc. The Carpenters really have the Christmas season covered. Of course it’s to bad they never recorded “Auld Lang Syne”, that would’ve been a nice follow up track.
