Hello all! This post is for everybody but especially for A&M Corner member "Dave" from Oak Park, MI...

This lost PUNCH song that you mentioned at least twice on this site HAS BEEN FOUND!!! I finally scored a copy! The song, of course is:

"WAITIN', HOLDIN' OUT" (written by Charles D. Merriam)

It is the b-side of the stock copy of the "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" single (A&M 1233). And even more good news... It says right on the
label...
Vocal Solo: Dee Steele (Yes, Dee's last name is finally revealed!!) and
Tack Piano: Larry Knechtel (studio pianast extrordinaire and future Bread member).
This treasure, most likely recorded circa 1971 for the PUNCH lp (but left off the album for whatever reason) is a short, bouncy 4/4 pop song with a nice chorus and a sweet lead vocal by Dee (who was the only member not to make it to the next incarnation of the group they called SONOMA). Needless to say, after all these years, it is great to finally hear the song and to have something from A&M that is definitely a rarity!

Thanks to all!!!

Bobby Vox

Thanx & Cheers! to Bobbyvox for having the time & patience (and probably a lott'a $) for finding the PUNCH COMPLETE WORKS!!! :thumbsdn: ...Shake a Hand!! :)

...Now can we finally get ALL these songs--the ones on the LP, the TWO non-LP A&M singles and the '45' for Bell ALL on CD??!!
