Here is a Japanese CD titled They Long to Sing Once More. I am not sure if it is a bootleg or not but it is out there.

Look at #11, it says the song is I Make It.

Could they mean, I can't make music?

Not official release.

Doug Strawn sang "I Make It" at my concerts in 1976. (I didn't go to Osaka. I went to see Carpenters in concerts at Budokan, Tokyo.)
Richard might say that John Bettis and he wrote the tune. Doug started to sing after 'Hi' in Japanese casual greeting.

Not the best sounding CDs and paid a hefty price for them from an on-line retailer. It has a great cover and pics of Karen and Rich, though.
