Hi all.

I got the CD called ZAITSU SONGS in the same package as the 35th Anniversary Box Set, and I just got around to playing it today...

Richard Carpenter contributed the song "When I Dream" to this project -- what an amazing song! It's a Richard Carpenter/Pamela Phillips Oland composition, and Richard did the vocal arrangement. Since the song is performed a cappella, the vocal arrangement is what it's all about. It is performed by five voices, and they're all English speakers, so pronunciation isn't an issue.

I can't really figure out the CD, though, and I was hoping one of our Japanese friends could help with the details. All the liner notes are in Japanese, except for the song lyrics, so I can't read any of it.

Who is Kazuo Zaitsu? And what's the story behind this album? Many of the vocals are done by a number of different singers with English-sounding names, none of whom I've heard of before. I'm just curious...
