Just for fun, I think I'll tell about this, since the sixties are the landscape for this discussion...
Actually, I had a great time in the sixties...
I graduated from high school in 1969. It was a great year for me. My high school years, which were 1966 - 1969, were lots of fun.
I only noticed the political and social stuff that was going on out there in the "big world" from a "rose colored" distance.
I had a good home life, good school life, a nice car, a good part time job working in a pharmacy, a good TJB tribute band that played a lot and had a great time, and ended the decade in May, 1969, meeting and dating one of the most beautiful girls that ever went to my high school - we ended up getting married and have been married for 31 years...
It was all sort of the "perfect" little picture...
