any of the baja marimba band members still alive

hi people, I was just wondering if any of the baja marimba band are still alive, I know that Juluis has died, how many are dead or alive.

Hi Bob! I don't know about right this minute, but several of the original Baja Boys were still alive at the time of the Julius tribute three years ago and played that night: Bernie Fleischer, Frank DeVito, Charlie Chiarenza, and Dave Wells. From the second BMB there were Jules Greenberg, Harvey Newmark, and...I'm sure I'm forgetting somebody...

It was Nick DeCaro (producer of many Longet LPs and artist in his own right with A&M SP4176 and a Barnaby follow-up) who died of AIDS a few years back. Someone at A&M once told me that Nick and Frank were brothers, but then a few others have told me that's not true. So I'm not sure what to believe -- people I consider authoritative have had both notions!
