Carpenters SACD

Do you think that Richard will ever put any of the Carpenters songs on SACD (Super Audio Compact Disc)?

Possibly. I know Universal has been initially releasing SACD titles, but now rumors are circulating that they are also thinking of DVD-Audio too. (Nothing like a little market confusion!) I guess A&M and R.C. would have to determine whether or not they could turn a profit re-releasing the catalog yet another time.

Thing is, I would prefer the original album mixes on SACD, not the remixes. DSD just sounds so much more analog to my ears! The Police remasters all sound wonderful...much closer to the vinyl than the CDs ever have been, IMHO.
