I couldn't find a clip of Dolphy playing anything live from this album - he died not long after releasing this LP. But here's a neat clip from a performance in Belgium in 1961:

I love this album. While this falls under the avant-garde tag it doesn't really get totally crazy as some other albums with that tag. Gotta love the opening number "Hat And Beard", which is an obvious nod towards Thelonious Monk. My favorite track is "Gazzelloni", which highlights Dolphy's flute work in a sprite tune. Freddie Hubbard is outstanding as well on this entire album. Of course it doesn't hurt having the young Tony Williams on drums. Gotta give a nod to Dolphy's bass clarinet work as well. A superb album overall.
