What was the release year on this one?
This is the first I've ever heard of this album (or the artist, for that matter), actually! I've got to look into this one!
Great surrounding cast, to say the least. Peter Frampton (anyone know why he went by "Shane Fontayne" in the credits?), Mick Ronson, Earl Slick, Waddy Wachtel, Rick Marotta, several Toto players (Lukather, Jeff and Mike P.) ... she sure had a lot of famous help on this album!
So whose version of "No Way to Treat a Lady" came first? Hers or Bonnie Raitt's? I didn't know there was another version of that song! Good tune. Definitely one of the best songs Bryan Adams ever penned for another artist.

Interesting album. For someone who (even to this day) is relatively unknown, there was a lot of heavyweight talent thrown at this album!

A quick bio (courtesy of Brendan Swift at All Music Guide):

Lisa Bade first appeared singing backup vocals on Mark Gillespie's 1980 album Only Human. Her debut single, "Traveller in the Night"/"Stormy Red," was a cover of a Gillespie tune and her debut album, Suspicion, followed in 1982. It produced the singles "(That Ain't) No Way to Treat a Lady"/"Losin' Feelin" and "Willow"/"Pile Up on the Highway." the Lisa Bade Band supported the Little River Band at the end of 1982.

Her next single, "Walk Away"/"Never Looked So Good," followed in 1985 and Bade went on to sing with Wilbur Wilde's Blowout, the Mark Gillespie Band, and Pink Cadillac. She also formed the Love Stars, a popular cover band.

She does sound like a higher-pitched Bonnie Tyler. :agree: Once this video finished, one of the related videos was a link to Bonnie Tyler's version, lip-synced on a German TV show. Bonnie Tyler has bigger hair.

What paved the way for a lady on A&M like Rosie Vela (and unfortunately the same commercial flop that Zazu was)...

The recordings seem to have been done "all over the place"... Anyone have any info on what musicians are on what tracks & the recording studios & locations that these songs were done at?

(A shot of the back cover of this LP at Discogs isn't much help, nor a sale auction on eBay showing only the front...!)
