A friend let me know that he heard mention of a new exhibit at the New Haven Museum about the Carpenters. I wish I could go! Here is a nice article about the show:

That is an interesting article, but the photo is even more interesting. I don't recall having seen that photo before -- sort of looks like Karen and Richard were auditioning for roles as zombies!

I don't think I've seen that photo, either. I recognize Richard's clothing, though. I wonder if the museum owns other photos and memorabilia; I mean, why would they even think of having such an event? Curious.

I have read a few articles about this event. It's very nice to know that their hometown remembers Carpenters!!

I think I saw the photo last May for the first time, and when Pamela started GoCarpenters, she used the photo.

The photo site had many Carpenters photos, from popular photos to rare photos. They uploaded photos to GettyImages or somewhere then the original site deleted lots of photos, I think. I don't remember if GettyImages had this one or not.
