Updating my list of Tijuana Brass TV appearances. Watched the 10/29/66 Hollywood Palace with Herb hosting. They did a 5-song medley: Spanish Flea, Whipped Cream, Mexican Shuffle, Work Song, and a Taste of Honey. Each was a mere 30 seconds, and each had a cold ending. Yes, even Work Song, which on the LP fades out.
Turns out except for Flea (which was the mono version where the prominent percussion comes in at :18) the others were all "new" recordings. Didn't appear they were performing live, except for Nick on drums, so I'd guess they were miming to the prerecorded new material. Anybody care to disagree?
