Can someone here tell me which CDs have the accidentally recorded sound of a door closing that made it onto "Bless the Beasts and Children" and exactly where in the song it is?

Thanks,

Tony

Tony, here are a few topics where this was covered.

I can't see where the exact time is on the track though.

I see Harry also wrote this:
Thankfully Richard found ways of getting rid of it in the remixes, but it's still there in all its glory on the REMASTERED CLASSIC version of A SONG FOR YOU

Listen for it most clearly on the Remastered Classics series of A SONG FOR YOU. That's the old original vinyl mix, and you can hear the 'squeaky' noise at around the :21 to :22 second mark.

It'll be there anywhere else that mix appears.

I never understood how Richard let one that get by, because it is so audible. I'm glad he fixed it. Even though it is not supposed to be there, it is drilled in my head even when I listen to the remixes. It's part of A Song For You's charm.

I had never heard of the squeak before! Just went to the A Song For You CD and got to hear it! Cool! I'm glad topics from the past resurface now and then.
