Radio special on Julius Wechter & Baja Marimba Band

I am happy to have worked on a new two hour radio special saluting Julius Wechter. It was great to re-visit so many fun tunes and arrangements.

The special will air twice this weekend (10/6 & 10/7) on AM 1510 KSPA in the Inland Empire, and AM 1450 KFSD in San Diego. The show airs Saturday at 1pm, and again Sunday afternoon at 4pm. The easiest way to listen is online. Both stations are streamed 24/7. Also, the show is available for on-demand listening. I just listened to it - kind of skipped the songs to listen to what Cissy and David Wechter had to say. I loved the story about recording "Deep Throat", and how Julius had to take a tape player under his trench coat into a porn theater where Deep Throat was playing so he could record the title tune. I can really imagine him doing this!
