The Baja Marimbas Are Here

My copies arrived early last week but I just yesterday got a chance to give the disk a spin. I can't tell without conducting an A-B (LP to CD) comparison whether the Naturally bonus tracks are alt takes or remixes, but either way, they sure sound good. "Nine on a Match" is a very nice New Deal-set take that should have been on the original disk--perhaps it didn't make the cut because of CD-length considerations? It has a vintage BMB sound. "Daily Double" alone is worth the price of admission. Haven't listened to the New Deal remixes yet. I've had the original CD for years and still listen to it quite a lot. That was an amazing last Baja incarnation that Julius put together, wasn't it?

Lazy Days is a must-have for any BMB fan. Get it for "Daily Double" and the swell cover art if for no other reason!

I have to say, the remastered Lazy Days tracks are much superior to the original CD issue--sharp and clear and with more depth. The bonus tracks make this a must-have package.
