The Carpenters in China

A friend of mine recently went to China and upon his return, knowing of my fondness for the Carpenters, made a point of telling me that the C's were HUGE in China. Out of curiousity I did a Google search and found a couple of articles which confirm this to be true and which explain why it's so.

My brother lives in Sapporo, Japan with his family...and when I visit them, without a doubt, I'll hear "All You Get From Love Is A Love Song" at least once a day, along with many other Carpenters songs. be it at the train station, grocery store, radio, or tv, Japan loves their Carpenters too!
