Hi all,

Actually I wanted to reply to this topic from 2003, but unfortunately it's been locked now: http://www.amcorner.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2234

Just thought I'd let you know that we can now listen to these 2 sides from the early 1960s online also, if you hadn't discovered them already

"Why don't you write me"

and flipside "Mary-Ann"

They're probably available on CD as well by now, but I haven't looked into it yet...

Greg (in a pre-Carpenters mood now :D )

Thank you for the info., Greg!! I almost gave up hearing these songs.

I love Richard's talk about oldies with excitement.
I haven't heard the outtake from BBC, I heard the BBC program. I recorded it with cassette tape but I can hear it no more. I remember Richard's sound mimic of the performance on the recording.
I also love Richard's play and talk on NHK in 1988. Richard played parts of old songs. Richard mentioned Elvis both on the NHK program and the BBC program, I think.

An article about Richard was on Keyboard Magazine. Richard mentioned old songs and Les Paul.
Karen sang "Sweetheart Tree" (I don't know original name)
and "Twelfth of Never"!!

I thought Karen was interested in drums in Ca. for the first time. But Richard mentioned something like, Karen wanted to play the drums of Richard's band member in Ct. It was in the interview with Richard a few years ago and published last year from the same company with the Keyboard Magazine.

I love Richard's excitement in talking about Les Paul and Mary Ford on DVD "Chasing Sound". I love seeing the story about the recording machine that Les Paul made.

I think I read about Tribute to Les Paul and saw some clips from the concert and the interview with Les Paul at American sites last autumn.

R.I.P. Les Paul. Thanks for your contribution to multi-truck recordings and overdub!!

Sakura
