Was just going to suggest it... I was just washing some dishes and wanted to listen Carpenters music at the same time. So I put it on and although I have never thought of it that way, now it seemed quite poignant.

Great choice! 'Heather' has always been one of my favorites. Completely unique. Nothing else like it in their catalogue. And I agree it's got a hopeful, shimmering vibe to it.
