Has Herb ever made comprehensive statements in book or other media pertaining to his insiders view into CarpenterS techniques. Stories untold and general interest info like the mood in the studio. Perhaps revealing knowledge of on the shelf recordings and such. Things we can't pry out of RC. Maybe Jerry Moss could provide same.

On the DVD documentary CLOSE TO YOU: REMEMBERING THE CARPENTERS, a brief interview with Herb describes a basic "feeling" to their sound, as well as with the demo revealing Karen's drum talents, Richard's arrangements of all of the vocal parts, etc., etc. Unfortunately, it's pretty much what we know already. Nothing technical.
