While ordering a DVD movie from Amazon, I needed about 10 more dollars worth to get the order up to free shipping status. I saw this title, the SERGIO MENDES COLOUR COLLECTION for around $11, so I added it to the order. It wasn't a totally necessary purchase, but at least it's a tangible item rather than a shipping charge, and it makes a nice pair with the Bacharach COLOUR COLLECTION I picked up recently in Germany.
Packaged nearly identically to the Bacharach disc, except for the color, it's housed in a digipak format with a die-cut front allowing the ochre-colored disc to show through.
The disc itself seems to be a digital clone of the 2000 compilation called UNIVERSAL MASTERS COLLECTION - CLASSIC SERGIO MENDES. The track list and sound is identical. In fact, Windows Media Player reported that I was listening to the MASTERS COLLECTION disc.
Just another compilation clone for the collection.
