YES! Those quotes are just tiny snippets from the discussions of each of the albums. To get an idea of what the book will be like, take a look inside these books, which are very similar in layout and style:

I don't think @Mark-T is a Facebook guy, so I thought I'd better bring this here to share . . . We are spotlighting the 33 commentators for the new book (a few each week) and today is his day! The post reads:

MEET THE COMMENTATORS: A fan of Karen and Richard since first hearing “We’ve Only Just Begun” in 1970, Mark Taft saw the Carpenters perform live in Las Vegas during their 1976 tour and had the pleasure of meeting them backstage. Taft is the founder of the Insights and Sounds blog. He is also an international tour guide, husband, father, and grandfather and resides in Colorado.

I am SO honored to be a part of this wonderful project! (Thank you, Randy, for inviting me to be part of it.)
Our group conversation discussing A Kind of Hush was so much fun. No more details for now. Wish I'd see you all in California...

BTW#- I want to add how hard it was for me NOT to share with you all here about my involvement with Randy's new book. But it is his labor of love and a project he should share about how and when he wants to.

We may all be real life strangers, but I consider you my friends. My bet is we all would be if we knew each other in person.Trust me, iIt was a difficult secret to hold on to. And I do wish I would be with you in CA next month, but I have to leave the country for work.

That's very cool! Even though I'll get to meet Randy in LA, I've already signed up for this :)

That's a nice if unexpected development. I have a nagging suspicion I may be away then, but if not I'll definitely attend.
