^^^ To this day, I still marvel at how they did that video and enjoy it every time I see it. The backdrop is as it was in the TV special but Richard isn’t there. The tiniest details…right down to his reaction when Karen leans on his shoulder in the second chorus. For the mid-1990s this was amazing technology. I’d love to know how they achieved it.

I can’t believe after all these years that a higher quality version of this has never surfaced. TOTW wasn’t filmed in HD so I guess this was limited to a lower resolution? I wonder what it looked like when broadcasted in Japan.

I’ve never seen that. It’s brilliant, and emotional. Just a thought for Richard, that must have been magical yet difficult for him.

Magical for him to see the finished product yes, but I wonder what he thought when they were actually making it and what he thought the end result would be, given that Karen wasn’t there. I still love how he ‘looks’ up at her when she leans on his shoulder.
